We are excited to announce the addition of Tony Francesca to our senior leadership team as Vice President and General Manager. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Tony has joined nok9 to accelerate our global expansion at a time when the wireless charging market is poised for high growth.

Prior to joining nok9, Tony served as Vice President of Ecosystem Partners at Sigfox, a global operator for IoT wireless connectivity in 43 countries. He led a global team managing a value chain of partners in semiconductors, modules, EMS/ODM, distributors and Cloud while creating industry breakthroughs in lowering cost barriers with a mass market supply chain.
Before Sigfox, he was Vice President of the consumer electronics business at PowerbyProxi, the leader in resonant wireless charging solutions recently acquired by Apple, as well as Chairman of the multi-device resonant specification for Qi at the Wireless Power Consortium. He was Chief Executive Office at start-up BroadLogic and Chief Operating Officer at start-up Hellosof. He held senior executive positions at public global companies AT&T, Quantum and USRobotics/3Com.
Tony has broad domain knowledge in wireless, software, IP/patent licensing, storage and systems solutions addressing markets in mobile, consumer electronics, IoT, enterprise, industrial and network service operations.
He earned a BSEE (Honors) at McGill University and an MBA (Beta Gamma Sigma) at the University of South Florida. He is also a recognized inventor with three issued patents.
